This three-family house at 482 Warren Street snuck onto the market in the last week of the year and will have its debut open house this Sunday. The brick townhouse has an owner’s duplex topped by two floor-through two-bedrooms. The house has been recently renovated in a tasteful manner, albeit one that may not appeal to historic purists. Given the rent, which we’d guess is at least a combined $4,000 a month from the two apartments, the asking price of $1,850,000 doesn’t seem bad except for the fact that the house is located just a half block from the Gowanus Houses. We’ll see how big an impact that has on the ultimate selling price.

  1. I love the house and the layout, not too many things to complain about if you like living modern (perhaps the parlor flooring, will have to see). Mr B’s copy hit most of the salient points. Taxes at 14k are not cheap. As much as i like to make fun of this neighborhood, you might hear shots fired once a year then but it certainly is a far cry from the projects of bed stuy. The only thing is that to walk to this little cozy nook it might get old to either walk past the pj’s or purposely avoid them.

  2. how about murders within about a half mile of them? look at the NYT homocide maps, pretty hard to tell the difference in density between bed stuy and brownsville. gowanus (sorry, er uh, boerum hill) looks like Fargo comparatively
