House of the Day: 449 Bergen Street (Again)

This two-family place at 449 Bergen Street in Park Slope was on the market back in 2009 (when it was a House of the Day) and 2010 but, apparently, failed to sell. Now the 25-footer is back, this time with an asking price of $1,695,000. That’s not a lot of dough for this part of town, but clearly the fact that this place only has three floors changes the calculation; close proximity to Flatbush is probably not helping either. Overall, it looks like a very nice but not show-stopping pad. Given that the market for townhouses is a lot stronger now than when it was last looking for a dance partner, we suspect things will go better this time around.
