This listing at 314 Caton Avenue on the border of Windsor Terrace and Kensington just hit the market with an asking price of $700,000. The brick exterior has a certain charm. The interior does too, though the new floors are a bummer and the kitchen is straight-up Home Depot. Both of those things are remediable and the proximity to the Parade Grounds and Prospect Park are nice too. Think the price is right?

  1. kinda hard to tell if the price is right. broker fail for no floor plan. she takes all the effort of writing out the description of one – for goodness sakes go to floorplanner.com. So its 1440 square feet w/ potential to be 2160? so if you spend $50k reno’ing basement that would put you in at $350/sf.

even if the reno looks like 1985, you can move in. that’s a huge plus. close to park, but on Caton (Flatbush transverse). It is fringe but at least on paper seems priced reasonably. IOW, “worth a look”.
