Given the price of $1,735,000, the Carroll Gardens location and the attractive interiors, this FSBO listing at 296 Hoyt Street has a lot in its favor. Of course, there is a small catch: The size. The three-story (or two, technically, if you don’t count the below-grade garden level) house, has only 1,800 square feet of living space, putting the asking price at almost $1,000 a foot. Since this ain’t Brooklyn Heights, that seems like a stretch to us but given the low inventory and high demand for houses in this area, who knows!

  1. And this is why people like Schiff complain, over $1.7 for a tiny house in a not so good public school zone. To afford this place at ask you need to make 500k a year and if you make that much is this really the house you envision youself having? Sad thing is they may get close to ask as there isn’t much else out there
