House of the Day: 228 14th Street
There’s nothing special about this house at 228 14th Street but then again there’s nothing particularly wrong with it either, assuming you don’t require tons of original detail. There’s nothing special about this house at 228 14th Street but then again there’s nothing particularly wrong with it either, assuming you don’t require tons of original detail. The legal two-family (which is currently configured as a one-family) traded back in 2007 for $1,200,000. It came on the market last November (when it was an open house pick) asking $1,350,000, but that didn’t work out too well and the listing was pulled in April after a few months at the reduced price of $1,299,000. Now it’s back at that same price. Any reason for optimism?

There really is nothing wrong with the layout. in fact I like that it has not been messed up.
If it’s a real Mies design daybed it is about $15,000 retail.
It’s a great place for a cat nap, especially is you’re a cat.
It really is a nice house and lot, I just wonder about the location. Across the street it looks like Dogpatch USA. Could be wrong, don’t really know that area.
I would love a backyard like that. And a good landscaping company to design and do it up. Fences too. Sorry.
it’s a daybed. I think by Mies van der Rohe. Classy. It’s basically useless unless you have cats.
The house is very nice, but the location is not. that block looks very raggedy.
