This house at 226 Union Street in Carroll Gardens just hit the market with a price tag of $2,375,000. We know that demand for brownstones in Carroll Gardens is high and that this one is in a good location and certainly looks great from the outside, but the renovations that have been done to the interior are going to work against it, we suspect. The house is in fine shape but, judging from the photos, the three-family’s original charm has been diminished, with finishes looked more geared toward rental tenants than multi-million-dollar-home buyers. Plus the house is only 16 feet wide.
