House of the Day: 149 Kingsland Avenue
This renovated brick townhouse at 149 Kingsland Avenue in Greenpoint doesn’t have a lot of details but it does have a few. Nonetheless, it’s fairly charming anyway. Given the dreadful location, I just cannot conceive how it could sell for $1.5 million. This should especially be the case since many similar buildings exist in this area in much better locations.
I strongly suspect we will see several additional sales price reductions before someone takes it off the current owners hands.
Location isn’t totally awful , you’re pretty close to the Graham ave L and restaurants walking wise. The proximity to the BQE is a bummer , if they get $1.5 , I just might cash out and buy a mortgage free minimansion in the burbs. It’s hard to believe there are that many people that can afford these numbers, unreal. Thank god I got in after Lehmen imploded in 08 otherwise I could never afford to buy in this market .
