“I’ve never understood this “boring brooklyn heights” label. This part of Brooklyn Heights is pretty close to all the “fun” ameneties of Cobble Hill/Boerum Hill/Carroll Gardens.”
Exactly, You have to step outside the nabe to find the “fun”
“What makes BH “boring”?”
It’s exclusivity
🙂
ET,
What makes BH “boring”?
“I never equated Brooklyn Heights as being ‘exclusive’, but a boring neighborhood with beautiful architecture.”

“.it does have the “feel” of exclusivity if only because of the lack of bars and restaurants that would bring so many people there from all over creation”
Okay, that doesn’t make sense.
There are nabes in towns in mid west states that lack bars and restaurants and they’re not considered ‘exclusive’ but shitholes.
I never equated Brooklyn Heights as being ‘exclusive’, but a boring neighborhood with beautiful architecture.
“more exclusive, which matters to many very wealthy people”
Of course, if they were really “very wealthy”, and unduly fretting about exclusivity, they’d buy a $20 million townhouse in the West Village. Unfortunately for their bank balance-linked egos, they have to slum it in BH. Neverthless it is more exclusive than the Park Slope favela, and that helps to keep troubling status-anxiety at bay.
ET…it does have the “feel” of exclusivity if only because of the lack of bars and restaurants that would bring so many people there from all over creation, like Bay ridge. PS does not have this exclusive feel because of all the riff raff all over the streets with so many more commercial establishments.
oh my god! i have loved this house ever since i first walked down grace court. this is one of my favorite houses in BH and a fantastic block. wow…
“BH is more exclusive, which matters to many very wealthy people.”
exculsive?
It’s not a gated community. I walk those streets all the time.
Note to owner:
Please hire someone to do a better website.
And someone to do a floor plan for you.
And your kitchen cabinets should have been white, not a cream, or a much darker color. Not enough color contrast between the white farmhouse sink and cabinets. Looks like a mistake.
Otherwise the house has lots of great details.
