That was quick! It was only a week ago that 242 Wyckoff Street hit the market and only four days ago that we wrote it up as a House of the Day, so we were surprised to hear through the broker grapevine that Corcoran was already calling for “Highest & Best” bids by 5 p.m….

It was only a week ago that 242 Wyckoff Street hit the market and only four days ago that we wrote it up as a House of the Day, so we were surprised to hear through the broker grapevine that Corcoran was already calling for “Highest & Best” bids by 5 p.m. today. We assume that’s a sign that there was an outpouring of interest from buyers unconcerned about the proximity to the Gowanus Houses.

I still say 1.6 million is a lot for a small house at that location. I hope the sellers get near their asking. they seem to be serious about selling, which is refreshing. So many list their houses and then pull them off the market when they don’t get their price. Its ridiculous. There are a handful of empty houses near me, waiting for what? the next boom?
