house
This is a decent block of Greene Avenue (between Franklin and Bedford) and this house is a full 20 feet wide, so it appears checking out at first blush. The combination of that front door, lack of interior photos and random broker make us suspicious that the house is worth anywhere near its asking price of $950,000. It’s currently has four units even though its C of O is for three so proceed with caution. Don’t forget, though, it is in “up and coming Bedford Stuyvesant,” as the listing point out. On the jump, check out an under-the-radar special three doors down.

368 Greene is on the market with Marcus & Millichap, which is one of those national firms you never knew did business in Brooklyn. You can call Dan O’Brien at 212-430-5192 for more info. (Nice Manhattan number, guys.)

  1. just about every bed-stuy post ends up in racial antagonism and yet we question whether there might be discrimination in housing practices vis-a-vis corcoran. how sad. the subtext of this entire website is quite simply, race and its intersection with housing. why would anybody want to pretend that corcoran isn’t complicit (subconsciously or not) in racist practice when so many of this site’s readers so clearly are. corcoran didn’t invent this wink and nod game. living in brooklyn is, in so many ways, about race in america and how we negotiate it.

  2. thanks for removing the most recent post as well (the one anonymous 2:49 gives a funny reply to) even though, I guess if certain people didn’t see it, then that didn’t exist either. I guess that’s how the world works. Anyway, I have a question about recent home sale prices on the comps listed in propertyshark, but I have to step away, so I’ll ask it when i return.

  3. sweetheart..I saw both posts and had plenty of time to respond…

My response was a (failed) attempt to demonstrate to you how over the top they were 🙂 and you are still calling them “phantom”..dwl…..guess it was a waste of time responding to you as well..carry on 🙂

  4. To Shahn Anderson… interesting how you assumed that someone was being “over sensitive” to brownstoners story, when that was not the case at all. Someone posted a racist comment/response, which you happened to miss prior to it being removed. Now who’s seeing things??? Typical…

  5. this is the last bad house on the block. (actually there is another not in the best shape.) 15 yrs. ago this house was worth 35 G. what will the house be worth in 5-7 years? it’s only going to go up–if you pay about 850.

  6. I missed it. What happened? In any event, many of us love Brownstone Brooklyn because it’s economically, culturally and racially diverse. It’s a pity that some do not appreciate what truly makes Brownstone Brooklyn the most magnificent community in New York City! Your loss…..
