House of the Day: Prospect Heights Mystery
It’s killing us that we can’t figure out where this house is located. The listing says Prospect Heights but other than the one-story taxpayer on the left of the photo there aren’t a lot of clues. It’s killing us that we can’t figure out where this house is located. The listing says Prospect Heights but other than the one-story taxpayer on the left of the photo there aren’t a lot of clues. If there are some details as the listing says, and the inside hasn’t been too butchered already, this could present an interesting opportunity to get a lovely looking (from the outside, anyway) brownstone in a hot area for under a mil. Granted, when you consider it’s only three stories, it start to look like less of a bargain. Has anyone seen the inside of this place? How bad is it?
Prospect Heights Townhouse [Weichert]
try 590 Dean St. – about 2200 sq ft. (16.17 x 45′) on block that isn’t exactly brownstone row. same owner since ’69.
What would you pay per sq ft?
Only three stories? How many brownstoners actually live on “only” three floor? Not like it’s a small house, but I guess you mean there’s not enough square footage to milk tenants for the kind of mortgage one would need.
This is definitely Prospect heights. Crown Heights is the other side of Washington and Clinton hill is the other side of Atlantic from here.
It’s definitely Dean St. I go by it almost every day.
Must have taken it down. Hmm.
than again it could be 588 dean st.
this house doesnt look like anything on that dean st.
Being directly across the street from the AY site will be the biggest hurdle the seller has to overcome. There’s also a bus stop just a few yards from the front door. On the other hand, this is close to Carlton (which is pretty), there are new loft condo coversions on the same block and there’s a great block association.
link doesnt work for house :(.
