Moving along from small-ticket to big-ticket, take a look at this corner listing from the Developers Group. Weighing in at 4,800 square feet, it’s a lot of building for the $3.595 million price tag given the Brooklyn Heights address. The reason is obvious: It’s been chopped up into five apartments with substandard (at least for this nabe) finishes and fixtures with nary an original detail in sight. The good news is that it will be delivered vacant so that someone with the cash and the patience could probably create a pretty sweet single-family home with the bonus of a double garage and yard space to boot.

Seems unlike Alex’s unawareness, this owner and their broker are sentient of the disdain and defected to corcoran.

to 2:12 on Jan 9th- who said anything about the gowanus?
Every time there is a mention of the developers group they always seem to garner some sort of negative response. I find this not only on blogs but in certain real estate circles as well. I guess I made the right decision and won’t be going with them, not that I was impressed at all to say the least. I just wasn’t aware of all the disdain.
I agree! I can’t imagine that a reputable company such as Levine Builders would go with a sub-par newcomer like developers group. I would assume that it would be Sunshine or Stribling. The people I have dealt with at developers group are a joke. I don’t think they will be around for long.
It would be a huge shame if the developers group actually got the Furman project. That would mean that some sleazy developer was doing the conversion and I can only imagine what crap they would produce.
The nail on the head? Are you saying that The Gowanus Housing Projects will be turned into condos? No it wasn’t part of the Furman St. Deal and I doubt The Developers Group has anything to do with Furman St. They can’t even sell the properties they have.
Adam at 6:11am on Jan 19th hit the nail on the head. It is exactly that. This is also some sort of “deal” for the development project down on Furman. Not sure of the details but if developers group has the new development I think the sale of this house was part of the package.
If we were getting sales commissions on the houses we mention we would’ve left our job long ago and be blogging from our mansion overlooking the Brooklyn Heights promenade! Don’t worry, when we start selling out we’ll be sure to let you know.
Has anyone noticed that on the developers group web-site that condo building L3 isn’t on there anymore. I wonder if they lost the listing because they couldn’t sell any. It looks like they also only sold 1 unit on 8on8th that ugly building in the Slope. Is this company a joke?
