When we rode past 348 Clermont Avenue at the end of last week, there were few visible remains of the once-noble and long-neglected brownstone that had stood on site for more than a century. Just a couple of workmen patching up the facade of the neighboring house, which appeared to have been stabilized by some exterior steel beams before the side of the house got a white-washing.

  1. There is one right down the street — 438?? — that is threatening to do the same thing. I want to get the fine information and post it to their front door. What a waste.
