We noticed that Weichert (oh, ye of the yellow ballooned signs) was holding another open house yesterday (Monday, weird, right?) at 156 St. James Place, the Clinton Hill 12-footer that was ravaged by readers last week. (Notice the charmingly restored #158 at left.) We wanted to show a full-frontal of the house and were hoping to find out if they’d cut the silly asking price of $950,000 yet. Actually, what we’d really love to see are some hidden-camera shots of the interior.

  1. Anon 1:25- I’m not the broker. Besides, even if the adjacent house WAS to be renovated, do you really think that would bring the price THAT far above value, even to a delusional seller? Or did you just misread my post? I’m a neighbor who
    was there when the owner of 154 was discussing a public hearing with Landmarks Commission regarding the addition of a stoop with one of his other neighbors. I assume this means he plans to renovate the facade of his house.

  2. 11.7 wide on the interior, actually. The house was built in tandem with the house next door; they share joists and foundation, but they were always seperate buildings. I believe they shered a stoop and portico at one time.
