I’ve been going to open houses in Park Slope over the past month, looking at studios and 1BRs. Almost all have been pretty dead, 2 or 3 people at most. But yesterday, I went to a 1BR on Prospect Park West, listed at $339k, which for some reason had gotten about a dozen people in the first 45 minutes. It was a 4th floor walkup, small and dark, with all windows looking into an airshaft. It was almost more like an alcove studio, with a tiny window in the bedroom. On the plus side, it had a nice big kitchen, and access to a common roof deck. One person there sounded like she was ready to make a bid right away, saying it was really cute and a great price but I thought it was so dark I’d commit suicide if I had to live there all winter.
Location, location, location.

if it’s the place I’m thinking of, it’s also a condo. a prewar condo on PPW attracts attention
To each his own I guess – it’s like love – there’s someone (or an apartment) for everyone, right?
