From the Ditmas Park Blog comes an eye witness report of the elusive three bedroom apartment – 26 of them, in a new condo building in Midwood, at 1130 Ocean Avenue, called The Waterfalls on Ocean. This is a new build, not yet completed, but scheduled to open Fall 2010. The building is near the B/Q train at Newkirk, and is zoned for PS 152, PS 315, and in District 22, with PS 217 and PS 193 nearby. Prices start at $274,550K for a one bedroom, up to $427,500K for a three bedroom apartment. It’s got 67 apartments total, a gym, 50 parking spots and yes, a waterfall in the lobby. According to the author, this building will be a great addition to a neighborhood without many three bedroom apartments. Do you agree?

Kens, there are very few 3 bdrms. Some of the 2 bdrs are huge, but are of no use if you need 3.
rob, cause the layouts work out that way and also you have have mom nearby in a one-bed. for elderly prob.
‘the cradle will rock’ these are already selling…..
great idea so what if you have 70 to 40 year old buildings
with 3s, this is new dude choice is a market
There are plenty of big apartments in the area considering a lot of pre-war co-ops right on Ocean Ave.
Regardless, it’s a great addition to the neighborhood and prices seem to be pretty reasonable.
looks like a cool building.. i dont get why they bother having one bedrooms in a building that is touting it has three bedrooms.. one bedrooms are mostly for singles or childless couples, no? why would they want to be around large families who occupy three bedrooms? should have just made it 2, 3, and 4 if it’s a family type building..
