The Macon Street house has 2,430 square feet of space and a lien of $237,413. The weekly auction happens on Thursday at 3 p.m., 360 Adams Street, Room 274.

If the Sterling Place house belonged to Bishop LeGrand, there’s no telling what you may did up in the basement or yard. It certainly has a colorful past. For those who don’t remember the Bishop had a school bus for all his children and was charged along with a son of murdering a young girl and burning the body upstate.
The house on Sterling Place. It belonged to the LeGrands at one point. Shudder!!!!!!!!!
Well, I was smacked for this yesterday, but the City agrees that Macon house is in Bed Stuy. Ocean Hill starts at Saratoga:

So what happened to that Ditmas Park foreclosure – the one built with french bricks in a medieval style.
Would love to see a foreclosure of the week follow up. (Was there a last minute deal, or did it really go to auction & if so how much did it go for?)
I was curious about last week – 445 East 19th Street. The house had to be worth approximately double the lien, so wonder why the owners wouldn’t make a deal.
I always though SH ended at Malcolm X going east… But you are right no one knows where one starts and ends… You know if I was a real estate agent i would love to use Ocean Hill. it is a charming name… Too bad there is no real Ocean around lol..
Nice tree pic.
But Amzi Hill…if it were a listing with a broker they would call it Stuyvesant Heights!! Don’t really want to rehash yesterdays discussion though. LOL
Brownstoner the Macon Street house is in Ocean Hill
