Longtime readers know we’re suckers for anything with a South Portland address, so it was no surprise that today’s co-op of the day jumped out of the Craigslist morass to grab our attention. The address–21 South Portland–however rang a bell for some reason. No wonder: We profiled another apartment in the same brownstone two months ago. Today’s one-bedroom pales in comparison to the 1,170-square-foot parlor floor apartment that was on the market in October. Of course, so does the price of $411,000. While this place may not have a pier mirror, it does have its own 400-square-foot private roof deck. Not too shabby.

Co-op of the Day: 21 South Portland Avenue [Brownstoner]
went to the OH: area is obviously gorgeous, but it’s only 500sf, window sills at chest-height, roof accessible by a wobbly roof-ladder/roof-hatch, not a stair, and kitchen is tiny. someone will surely buy it, just not me.
why is everyone selling in this building?
the 11′ ceiling must be in the skylight, it doesn’t appear to be in the BR or LR.
yes, must be small for the price.. otherwise it would be a steal.
This looks less than 600 SF. Anyone knows?
It does look small, but that roof deck with a view of the Williamsburg Savings Bank building is amazing. Will that view be occluded by any of the new construction that’s going up?
A one bedroom is unlikely to be a floor-thru, is it just half a floor?
