We get why some of the nicer and better-located apartments in North Brooklyn are commanding prices north of $1,000 a foot, but that doesn’t mean that every condo in the area should. This one-bedroom at 122 West Street in Greenpoint, for example, is a perfectly nice pad but it’s on the ground floor and doesn’t have anything in particular that makes it stand out. It’s also in a cool development in a location we love but it’s not exactly North 6th and Kent. So it’s hard see how the asking price of $599,000 — which comes out to about $925 a foot for the 648-square-foot unit — can fly. Thoughts?
