This 1,384-square-foot loft at 70 Washington Street in Dumbo came on the market last September with an asking price of $1,375,000. The price was trimmed to $1,350,000 in October but that didn’t seem to be enough to motivate buyers, as it’s still available. The 8th floor-pad is technically a one-bedroom, though there is a decent-sized “home office” without any windows that could probably work as at least a guest room. Based on the dozen or so other listings in the building, the asking price seems about right on a per-square-foot basis. Generally the high-floor units are pricier than that and the lower-floor ones are more like $900 a foot.

Whoa, harsh comments.
Not my kind of place, but we’ve seen more boring places than this. The high ceilings and what’s preserved of the original construction is not boring. And the finishes are …”nice.” (Actually, I love soapstone. Wish it were in the kitchen. But also wish the kitchen were a little more of a room .. . . Lofts that run the deep way away from the windows are tricky.
Agree, asking too much. Feels like $1,200,000 would do it.
