There are three units left in this townhouse condo development, ranging in price from $469,000 to $729,000. The finishes look better than average for this part of town (which ain’t saying much) but we bet these pics are of the most expensive unit.

  1. Some people like open kitchens. I live in a townhouse condo, and that was actually one of my requirements when I was apartment hunting — that the kitchen be open to the living/dining area. It’s better for casual entertaining so you’re not shut off from your guests in a separate room. Also, it means you can have a galley-size kitchen without feeling claustrophobic, which would be the case if there were a wall or even a pass-through. (Thankfully, my kitchen is significantly nicer than this one!)

  2. I went to see this place with my sister and her fiance who are looking into the area. Even though I only live a couple blocks away (actually in Clinton Hill) the couple blocks make a huge difference. This is definitely Bed-Stuy and has a totally different feeling. It’s fine to move in early and wait for the streets to improve (less run down buildings and empty lots), but no one should pay those prices at this point. Especially since the place has been so renovated it’s hard to customize and make any capital improvements.

  3. There is a Corcoran sign on the building. Anyone notice that? That’s a little strange, no? The only way Corcoran would put a sign outside the building is if it was their exclusive.

Pepe’s a real slimy company. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are advertising it even though it’s someone else’s exclusive…

  4. The flooring looks like different shades”- funny.

Personally i hate the out in the open kitchen. The other kitchen certainly looks a bit better, but by and large they units don’t look very interesting. Wish they had shown a bathroom. The pics may be the most expensive unit, but the second kitchen must be in the least. Why would anyone buy a unit for 469,000 with that poor excuse for a kitchen?

  5. I happened upon the open house this past weekend. Ironically I was on my way to a brownstone open house in the stuy, when I drove by and saw the sign. To me the prices are high, but the second floor unit was decent and the 3rd flr duplex was actually a nice living space. They added a new level for a queen size room and a balcony with a floor to ceiling glass wall. The units have no original details, but the staircase and common areas had a few wood accents. The picture of open kitchen is in the garden unit, the other units kitchen’s where a lot nicer. Still I think the pricing is pretty high.
