Most of the 21 units at 457 Atlantic Avenue have sold by now. There are still two A-lines available. We noted the price cut on Apartment 2A back in October; its upstairs neighbor, #5A, looks a good deal more compelling because of the ceiling height and views. Weirdly, this place actually sold for $819,000 back in July before being put back on the market almost instantly for $895,000; it was reduced to $849,000 a couple of weeks ago. Wonder what the story is there.

  1. oh, and i just noticed you can see this walk-up in the picture on the left. it’s the red building on the left of the white part of The Atlantic. you can also see the hatch of the stairway that leads up to the roof, middle left of the pic.

  2. the problem with this unit is that there is a 4-5 story walk-up next door that abuts The Atlantic. the roof of that walk-up, which units in the walk-up have access to, ends a couple feet below the windows of unit 5A in The Atlantic. you can’t see these windows in the picture above, but they’re the ones behind the couch on the very left. additionally, it’s super easy to jump from the roof building next door and swing on to the balcony. huge security risk factor. even if this were located in a considerably safe area, the thought of it being so easy to break in is clearly not worth it otherwise this would’ve sold at the same time as the rest of the units in the building.
