76 Engert Avenue is one of a handful of new, gray-brick buildings to the north of McCarren Park in Williamsburg developed by the Tahoe Group. (We took a look at them when they were going up back in late 2006.) The interiors clearly were influenced by The Developers Group, which is the broker on the project. Overall, we think it looks pretty nice. Sales started last October on this particular building, and so far 15 out of 24 units have either been sold or have signed contracts. Of the remaining units, the most Mac-Daddy spread is this two-bedroom penthouse with three outdoor spaces. The nut? $1,029,000. You dig?

similar apartment, same brokerage firm, for rent for $3500/month. With a coat closet! (But only one balcony).
Call me picky, but, when I come home to my million dollar penthouse, I’d like a closet to hang my coat in.
I’m so sick of these new developments, with walls of glass and one 24″ closet.
Doesn’t that seem pretty small for a million dollars? I know I’m biased, but, aside from the deck, I’m not seeing anything special here.
@ serenade Yeah, I know TDG is not a developer. I was just commenting on the buildings they’ve taken on. @dittoburg I’ve not lived in a TDG building, so I’ll take your word for it. I’ve only looked at 3 or 4 different TDG places.
The BQE isn’t a factor re. noise so much as pollution, especially if you have young children. However, polution from the freeways falls off dramatically a few blocks away, and these places area far enough away for it not to be a problem. Dumbo or One bBooklyn however….
i don’t think that the BQE is a factor. i live a couple of blocks away from it and never hear it. it’s not that loud.
I know of at least three TDG buildings where the same inferior construction company was used.
The Developers Group is not a developer. They handle the sales and marketing for different developers. Each project is different.
disagree with happierman on TDG. I breifly lived in one of their new glass houses. The skirting boards didn’t meet the floor, the cabinet doors were askew, the wooden doors were scratched and scarred by the installers and the back bay window leaked continually. The builders they used had the name “Superior”.
