I was in St Petersburg Russia last spring and we went out to the eastern suburbs, and let me tell you please, because you need some enlightenment, these are not like Soviet era housing. I saw Soviet era housing.

I don’t understand the hate on this blog sometimes.
These buildings provide middle class housing for New Yorkers.
The apartments have good light and air, many have fantastic views, the buildings are solid and fireproof.
When I think of “deathtrap” I think of the walkups with one rickety wooden stair to all the floors and a common attic beneath the roof. Now those are scary.

Does anyone actually know what the maintenance is for this unit?
It is not right to feature a co-op listing and not include that crucial piece of information.
new kitchen, baths, new hardwood floors, new doors and hardware, total reno costs: $80,000. This is a great deal if you can wait six months to move in while the work is done.
