This new FSBO listing at 357 6th Avenue has a nice historic vibe to it, which is no big surprise since it’s in a beautiful old row house at 357 6th Avenue in Park Slope. The living room, with its bay window and ample moldings, is the highlight of the place, and the kitchen and bathrooms have recently been redone. The maintenance for the 1,100-square-foot unit is $730 a month–about right for a walk-up with no doorman. The asking price is $869,000, quite a bit more than the $700,000 price the second-floor unit went for last year, but who knows what kind of shape that place was in. UPDATE: We heard from the owner who provided some more detail on some of the differences between the two apartments that help explain the difference in pricing. Among other things, the second floor apartment did not have a second bathroom or its own laundry room; nor did it have a reno’d kitchen with Bosch appliances or gut renovated bathroom. The list goes on, but you probably get the point.
