Co-op of the Day: 251 Pacific Street, #11
We’re still trying to figure out the catch with this new listing at 251 Pacific Street. The two-bedroom (three if you want to annex the dining area) sure photographs well and, at $699,000, is at an increasingly rare price point for an apartment of this size in Boerum Hill. The two-bedroom (three if you want to annex the dining area) sure photographs well and, at $699,000, is at an increasingly rare price point for an apartment of this size in Boerum Hill. The monthly maintenance is an affordable $897. Anyone been to see this place?

Apt is on 3rd floor so if a walkup that means 2 flights of stairs. Not the 5th floor.
Block is redeveloping quickly. The condos in building next door were all $1M+. Large new bldg under construction several lots east.
I walk up this block weekly and altho buildings across street may not be most attractive I don’t see anything I would consider bad unless a few old ladies sitting on folding chairs would be embarrassment if friends knew you lived on such a block.
did the street lighting get better at night? Did the BLATANT drug dealing (and related loitering) out of south side buildings stop? Does that motorcycle “gang” no longer congregate into the wee hours? Did the Arab and PR teens stop fighting with each other? Did that one particular tenant stop throwing 3lbs of bread crumbs along the entire sidewalk every morning? (pigeon sh_t!) At least they tore down the illegal chop shop (block no longer smells like car paint!) and added the stoplight at Boerum (this used to be LICH ambulance’s preferred route back to the ER….) Those 1M+ buldings are lipstick on a pig IMO.
BOD – I can only assume you know about the one-time drug dealing because you are smoking crack. The apts in the building next door went for 2+ million, not 1, and pretty much all the apts half a block up on pacific went for 1MM or more before they were even finished. Now they’re building a 60 unit building on the same block. When exactly did you live on the block and how high exactly were you? They say names are destiny…
Why aren’t you in westchester already, Mr. Whine?
Good idea, why didn’t I think of that!?!?!
noise and safety issues. Hoping it’s better now, but RS is RS and change is notoriously slowwww under those circumstances.
I used to live next door at #255 and yes there are issues on this block that are probably not going anywhere any time soon due to the massive RS building on the south side.
