Checking In On Loftology

Since sales of the smaller units kicked off back in December, all six of the sub-1,000-square-foot spaces have been spoken for at price-per-square-foot multiples ranging from $763 to $894. The six bigger units are nearing completion, with an open house blitz to follow. We’ll be watching to see whether anyone will pony up $1,500,000 for the 1,589-square-foot top-floor pad. If so, we’ll know the market is alive and well in Greenpoint.

robot..
the article is about how well sales are doing. for those prices it seems well
Agree Robot- I call shill on some of the comments. I think this building is crappy. I watched it being built over the last few years and it’s cinderblock with styrofoam & exterior construction. The construction lot was usually littered with styrofoam. Walls look thin as paper. Took a peek at the layouts online and some of them are funky. Funky bad.
I will say that I like the “woody” building next door, since its on the park. They get a lot of light. It was poured concrete construction, too.
I think that the “guests” writing good things about this building must work for the developer or apts&lofts (the realtor). This building is HORRIBLE beyond belief. If anyone truly believes otherwise then I can understand a little more why all these shoddy developments in Greenpoint and Williamsburg are selling well. Granted the neighborhood is pretty good, but this building is terrible.
ps34 is almost entirely polish with a good old-fashioned no-nonsense principal. great place to send your kids. But I don’t think these apartments are big enough for families.
This building is indeed one of the better examples of design during this bulilding craze in North Brooklyn. And yes, unlike Williamsburg, Greenpoint has the top rated public schools in NYC. PS 31 and PS 34 are not only tops in Brooklyn, they rate at the top in the entire city.
I think these are cool buildings. Never saw the inside, but imagine some of these places have great views, that because of the park being next door, will never get blocked.
This edge of greenpoint on the park is very nice. I would have considered the first building when i was looking, but needed a bigger place than anything that i saw listed there.
it’s also zoned for PS 34 which is a terrific school.
i really like this area a lot.
I like the one next to it better.
it should be noted that Scarano was only the filing architect for this job, and the design and planning was done by MDIM architecture
I walk by this mess everyday. That dark material on the side is really ugly and for some reason the other side it white “stucco”.
Trust me if you saw this place in person, you wouldn’t say it looks really nice.
I really can’t believe they are selling. Maybe, they’re okay inside.
