Crain’s reports that the Economic Development Corporation re-issued an RFP for Sunset Park’s 130,000-square-foot Bush Terminal site, which runs between 44th and 47th streets near the water. The EDC originally issued the RFP in November but is now trying to make the site more attractive by offering a 99-year lease on it, as opposed to the 30-year lease previously on offer. The three buildings on the site will be demolished prior to the winning bidder taking control of the land. According to the article, “the city hopes to lease the site to a developer who will build an industrial, manufacturing, distribution and/or fabrication facility there,” and it’s part of the EDC’s larger Sunset Park Waterfront Vision Plan shown above.

  1. almost impossible to build for industrial uses in new york, given rents a user could buy the land, but to have that happen an RFP setting….. good they are doing an open process
