This week, a look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago focuses on homes in Park Slope, Bed Stuy, Windsor Terrace, and Midwood. How did they fare?
First up, an extensively renovated 1880s Neo-Grec in the Park Slope Historic District Extension II is configured as a triplex over a garden rental. Historic details include decorative plasterwork and marble mantels. This former Open House Pick sold in August for $4.995 million, which was $800,000 under the asking price.
Renovated with a sympathetic eye towards period style, this circa 1890s Bed Stuy two-family has updated wet rooms along with fretwork, mantels, and built-ins. This former House of the Day sold in May for the asking price of $1.95 million.
In Windsor Terrace, an early 20th century brick house comes with a terrace, driveway, and garage. A showpiece of Edwardian looks, the semi-detached single-family sports stained glass, parquet, a paneled staircase, and Dutch dining room but it will need some work. This former Open House Pick sold in June for $1.85 million, which was $125,000 over the asking price.
Finally, in Midwood, a fully detached single-family also dating from the early 20th century comes with three bedrooms, a sunroom, and garage. Original details include built-ins, staircase, and wood floors. This former Open House Pick sold in July for $1.15 million, which was $195,000 under the asking price.
