In the negative column, there’s no deck for parlor-floor outdoor access, and the garden is only reachable through the master bedroom.

For that matter, the baseboard heaters aren’t going to be universally beloved, but generally speaking it’s quite a nice space, with a bright feel and a slew of nice details, including a pier mirror in the living room, wainscoting, a deluxe staircase, crown moldings, tin ceilings, pocket shutters and a handful of mantels, including one with Minton-style tiles.

The duplex has only two bedrooms, and looking at the floor plan it appears that the inhabitant of the front one would have to walk through the master or up the stairs and through the kitchen to get to a bathroom. But a closer look at the images shows that the bathroom on the first floor, in fact, has two doors.

Parlor floor is open plan, with the bedrooms and a small office space below; under that, the cellar holds a washer and dryer.

The rentals are on the upper floors, and — a key point — both are occupied. Whether they’re commanding market rents is a point worthy of investigation.
