If you’ve got 19 grand to spend on monthly rent, we’ve got a place for you. It’s a pretty nice one, as you might imagine.

It’s a five-story brownstone, at 42 Garden Place in Brooklyn Heights, strikingly renovated in 2010 by Delson or Sherman Architects.

This one’s got some fine features, chief among them a double-height wall of glass in the rear, spanning the garden and parlor floors. It makes for a sweet dining area on the parlor level, with a floating staircase leading to a family room below.

The adjoining kitchen’s awfully nice too, with stainless steel countertops, bamboo cabinets, a large island, prodigious storage space and a BlueStar range.

There are up to six bedrooms, depending on how you configure things. If you can make do with fewer, as most of us can, you can have a full-floor master suite with a sitting room, dressing room, nicely appointed bathroom, and a terrace.

There’s a smaller second terrace on the fourth floor, a laundry room, a wine room, central a/c, and radiant heated walnut floors. It’s a prime block, quiet and leafy, and not far from Brooklyn Bridge Park. It’s available furnished, if you want it that way.

There’s only one drawback, and we’ve already touched on it — the place costs $19,000 a month. What kind of relative deal that represents is hard to even say; the key question, for the owners at least, is whether some deep-pocketed renter will bite, perhaps a visiting corporate dignitary or an international rock star.
