Crain’s reports that sales of luxury real estate fared extremely well last quarter in Brooklyn, with stats from PropertyShark showing there were 223 sales over $1 million, representing a 60 percent increase over the same time last year. The article doesn’t say what percentage of all sales were $1 million+, but Elliman’s second-quarter market report counted nearly 2,000 sales, so that would mean about one out of nine were for more than a million bucks. According to the PropShark stats, 123 of the sales north of $1 million were condos, and Williamsburg and Park Slope were the neighborhoods that saw the most high-end sales.
