An affordable housing lottery is making 41 brand-new units available in the new Meekerman development at 410 Manhattan Avenue. The 70-foot-high construction will feature 50 total units, and was undertaken by Dunn Development with Curtis and Ginsberg as the architect. The new building will have solar panels, bike storage, and a roof deck with views of the Manhattan skyline.
The building is offering units ranging from studios to two-bedroom apartments. One-bedrooms will go for $532 a month while the most expensive two-bedrooms will rent for $1,403.
Qualifying households will have incomes ranging from $28,355 to $72,480 a year for one to four people. Eight of the units are set aside for adults with disabilities with on site support services provided.
The new construction is within walking distance of McCarren Park, and also offers a landscaped yard, roof terrace, play space for children and bike storage area.

Those who are eligible can apply between now and December 8. For those fortunate enough to live in Community Board 1, good news — you get preference on half the units in the new building. Check out the full eligibility requirements below.
