When we first saw the price for this co-op ($699,000), it looked like a great deal for a real prewar two-bedroom in Brooklyn Heights. It’s got a great layout, a new kitchen and lots of old-school charm like beamed ceilings and original wood floors. Then we noticed that the maintenance was $1,817 and our enthusiasm was tempered somewhat. The fact that it’s a ground-floor apartment is something else that’s keeping the asking price down too. Still, nice building, great location, good bones. It’ll be interesting to see what this goes for.
