Love the photo of Long Island City High School’s yard! Spent many hours playing there, especially the handball courts. My husband went to school there (’67 graduate) and used the schoolyard for PE. Lived a block away so I’m always happy to see photos of the area, especially since I don’t live there any longer. Thanks for the memories.
Rough morning! Thanks everyone
The Daily Astorian refers to Astoria Oregon, not Astoria NY. Understandable mistake.
The councilman is Jimmy Van Bramer, not Jimmy Van Bremer.
