Word on the street - Astoria's Irish Rover may be expanding to a second location

A friend shared with us the following – “Irish Rover may open 2nd location @ 23rd Ave/35th St.” This is compatible with recent information that 33-16 23rd Ave will be home to a “new eating and drinking establishment.” Here’s the permit (click to enlarge)Niall Reilly is listed as the owner of 33-16 23rd Ave, and he is co-owner of the Irish Rover bar in Astoria. This is a great bar in the neighborhood and we would expect this new bar would be in the healthy area of the awesome spectrum. We’ll keep an eye on it.
