Today, stop by Flushing Town Hall for the opening reception of its exhibition celebrating the historic building’s 150 years. The Hall’s cornerstone was laid on June 7, 1862, and with it a time capsule, filled with coins, business cards, a copy of the New York Times, and more memories of the day. The exhibition will display all those items as well as photographs, postcards and other Victorian era memorabilia. The opening reception will also include a lecture about the early years of the Hall, presented by archivist Angelo Vigorito.
