QNYC Event Highlight: The Last Reef In 3D

The New York Hall of Science will offer the chance to escape the cold, dry and barren Queens winter and jump into warm, wet and bountiful seas around the world. Starting on Wednesday, January 2, the Flushing Meadows-Corona Park museum and technology center will offer a 3D presentation of The Last Reef. To be shown every day except Monday until June 30, this film will give viewers that chance to explore tropical reefs, brush through jellyfish, marvel at tiny fish and worry about their predators. The documentary will also inform on the increasing acidity of the earth’s oceans and how this is destroying reefs at an alarming rate. According to the Hall of Science, marine experts are now predicting that all the world’s coral reefs could be gone within our lifetime.
