This top-floor one-bedroom in Bed Stuy has a few attractive details and a decent amount of space for the price. The kitchen and bathroom aren’t much to look at but they appear serviceable, and the living area is nicely sized with original shutters.
The bedroom seems a little small, but it will probably look bigger when (if?) that gigantic dresser gets moved out. It’s east of Malcolm X but on a nice stretch of MacDonough and a pleasant walk through Stuy Heights to the A/C at Utica. What do you think of it for $1,550 a month?

A block away (on the same street) you can find an off-market listing asking $1.3M (more nicely preserved may I add) so I guess the rents are comparable with the ‘market prices’ in the area…

Yes it is…but with the low inventory these days many homeowners are ‘testing the waters’ with top dollar prices.
