This gut renovated three-bedroom, two-bath duplex in Bed Stuy takes up the top floor and the attic of a brownstone. It looks clean and bright, with all the mod cons, including dishwasher, various stainless steel appliances, and a washer/dryer in the upstairs bathroom.
A big plus is central heating and cooling, both of which are included in the rent.
But the location of the stairs and wet rooms slice off the living/dining area and the bedrooms so they’re not very deep or are strangely shaped.
The location is convenient: It’s only a few blocks from the C and S trains at Franklin, the A/C at Nostrand and all the action on Franklin Avenue in Crown Heights. What are your thoughts on it for $3,995 a month?

What is the immediate area like, in regards to the busyness of Fulton and Franklin? The street it’s on looks like a nice quiet one, but then again it’s half a block away from Fulton, and also Atlantic.
This seems pretty excellent. I think the layout is great for 3 roommates, esp because there are two full baths, neither of which is en suite. The washer/dryer and central heat and AC included in the rental price is a huge benefit.
Thanks, good to know! I’ve only been to the area an handful of times, but mostly in the part of Bed Stuy along the G train. I’ll have to check out this part of the neighborhood some more.
