We’re not going to get a chance to wade through all the neighborhood essays in NY Press special Brooklyn issue until this weekend so we’ve got no witty outtakes to share as of yet. If you like your Brooklyn stories laced with a heavy dose of irony, darkness and self-deprecation, though, we’re sure you won’t be disappointed. And at the low, low price of free, what’ve you got to lose! (Just make sure you get a copy before the dog-walkers use ’em all up.)

  1. yeah, the boreum hill piece is a bit worthless. Sounds like the guy had no idea where he was and somehow wandered the edges of the neighborhoods. Whatever, it’s not like we need this article to turn people on to Brownstone brooklyn

  2. Did you read the Boerum Hill section? He completely missed it! Why would you send some yokel out to walk a neighborhood for like 20 minutes and then publish what the idiot found (or didn’t find)? Can’t find a restaurant in Boerum Hill, Carroll Gardens or Cobble Hill? He took about the only route that missed them all.

  3. Not bad review for FG/CH but Amy is right, they were totally off base when they said there are no Thai, Chinese or Sushi restaurants. One Greene Sushi, SushiD, Myrtle Thai, Fulton Thai, Thai 101 and multiple run of the mill Chinese take out places, plus ther is now Rice (and all of the other restaurants and cafes…
