Though the sandstone original is in the Brooklyn Historical Society, a granite reproduction now sits in the same place where the original was put on Kings Highway in 1741. The other is inscribed, 10-1/2 Miles to New York Ferry, 15 Miles to Jamaica. You learn something new every day.
