Just over a year ago, we reported that a café would replace the former realty office Location, Location, Location at 184 Dekalb Avenue. Well, despite the cafe-ification of Bed-Stuy and the de-cafeification of Park Slope/Windsor Terrace, this one is still not open, reports The Real Fort Greene. Anybody know the skinny? Update: A reader wrote in to tell us that the Catherine owners were putting up Christmas lights yesterday and were planning on opening by Tuesday. GMAP

  1. i’ve been wondering what was going on at this site as well. never seemed to be much action but then i was walking by two days ago and saw a couple people pull up and start unloading a pickup truck overflowing with boxes/cans/bags of food. so in addition to the front window, their pantry is stocked and ready to go.

  2. Does anyone know if there are any public figures available for commercial lease space? I’m curious to know how hard the downturn is hitting prime commercial RE, like along 5th & 7th Aves in the slope. Does anyone know what the standard PPSF rates for prime locations in Brooklyn?

  3. I heard that the tenants made a deal with the landlord where they paid a lot of money for the floor and they were in a bad spot. Its weird too, because the sign on the door says, Cafe and Construction Company…. What is up with that?
