Streetlevel: 7-Eleven on Atlantic
Looks like 7-Eleven is planning a subtle takeover here in Brooklyn. A Google search showed 17 of them already planted across the borough, and now this BP at 1381 Atlantic, at Brooklyn, will have one, too. Not clear if the gas station is going away or they’ll just have a new tenant. Either way, this…

BTW, in the previous message I made a mistake. The one opening soon on 86th Street is near 25th Avenue, not 20th Avenue. And BTW, it actually opened for business last Monday, December 22nd.
Just a minor correction, as we speak there are only 14 7-Elevens in Brooklyn, with 1381 Atlantic Avenue making 15, and a new one opening soon on 86th Street near 20th Avenue in Bensonhurst making 16. For some reason, they list comapnies with the name “7-Eleven” as legitimate 7-Elevens, when in fact, they are not.
Anyway, here is the official list of Brooklyn 7-Elevens:
1) Ralph Ave & Ave J (the first ever in Brooklyn, opened in December 1985)
2) Utica Ave & Ave O
3) Knapp Street & Voorhees Ave
4) Nostrand Ave & Ave T
5) Nostrand Ave & Ave Y
6) Coney Island Ave off Ave Z
7) Ave U & West 8th Street
8) Kings Hway & Coney Island Ave
9) Ave M & East 17 Street
10) 20th Ave & 65 Street
11) 4th Ave & 89 Street
12) 3rd Ave & 65th Street
13) New Utrecht Ave & 65th Street
14) 5th Ave & 13th Street
Plus the two coming soon listed above.
Thanks!
You have this under Ft Greene but it is in Bedford Stuyvesant… I really hate chains but but this one I welcome with open arms… 7-11 is the one thing I really miss growing up in suburbia… Now we need a Wawa in Brooklyn.
17?! 5th and 13th, check. Ralph and Ave. J, check.
