Forgotten NY revisits a neighborhood near and dear to our hearts–Broadway in South Williamsburg where, FNY notes, “the Vanderbilts looked across the river to Manhattan from their mansions, the Pratts heated their homes, and the Havemeyers put sugar in their coffee.” The survey reveals a few kinks in FNY’s usually encyclopedic knowledge and shows that Kevin hasn’t been reading his Brownstoner as closely as he should!
