Children’s play space The Stomping Ground is set to open March 1 at 636 Classon Avenue in Crown Heights. The nonprofit was started by and is run by parent volunteers. Membership fees are $50 to $70 a month, and there are currently 40 families.
The 1,100-square foot storefront offers children, babies and toddlers a space to play and parents a place to connect. There will also be classes for all ages, including fitness for parents, music, puppet theater, a drama class, and baby yoga. Also coming are a climbing wall, tumbling mats, a reading nook and, in the warmer months, an outdoor play area. GMAP
