Fulton Street Survey
The Fulton Avenue BID has posted two surveys, the answers to which will hopefully be used to attract commercial tenants to the Clinton Hill stretch of Fulton Street. If you care about this stretch, please take a minute to fill it the coffee survey and the fashion survey.

AND a new restaurant opened this week one block away at Fulton & Cambridge Place (next to Brooklyn Cares Vet). It’s called Buka and is inside a beautiful soaring, brick-lined space with a long bar in front and windows that open to the street – and an inexpensive menu you should check out. The kudos to Outpost and Michael Allen are sure right, they have been paving the way for positive things on this section of Fulton.
The survey is being done because if you walk several blocks towards the Clinton/Washington “C” train entrance and you want an equally good shot of espresso you’re out of luck (for now!).
Results of this survey may be just the thing an entrepreneur needs to push their business plan over the edge. Let’s see.
Instead of surveys, can the BID focus on getting the landlords and property managers to offer fair and reasonable rents?
As someone who is trying to start a neighborhood business on Fulton, that’d be much appreciated. The people we’ve talked to are living in a different reality when it comes to the value of their properties.
There’s a new bar opening on the corner of Grand and Putnam/Fulton. I think merchants are starting to realize that people will come to this neck of the woods if you provide them a quality spot. Many thanks to Outpost and Desserts By Michael Allen.
Where can people who don’t fequent online get these surveys and submit them? I’d like to stand out in the hood to hand them out so it’s more inclusive.
Wasder, spot on regarding Korean Deli. Nothing was more disappointing than the “WE HAVE GRILL” sign on the former florist at Cambridge. That could and should have been at least a corner diner/cafe with outdoor seating…
we need something badly, but until we have a few less methadone clinics the retail we want won’t come. we need to put pressure on local pols (i.e. tish james) to get rid of at least 2 of them. let’s all make like hasids and exert some serious political pressure!
I’ve seen, not heard, small spaces asking beaucou. Commercial is falling apart like residential and LL’s aint getting it.

What have you heard about commercial rents on Fulton BHO?
These guys are desperate. I heard another Rolling Up The Gates was slated. Drop the rents and the people will come.
