A tipster sent in this photo of a new building — technically, five new buildings — at the corner of Greene Avenue and Evergreen in Bushwick. “Just saw this new building in Bushwick by my mechanic’s place,” he said. “Interesting approach with the balcony above the entrance.” Each building is three stories with two duplexes. The addresses are 1125, 1131, and 1133 Greene Avenue, plus 327 Evergreen. Although building records say there was a two-story brick building previously, photographs since the 1970s show what appears to be an empty lot. A permit was issued about a year ago. How do you like the look of it? GMAP

  1. Is this part of the Fedders/Friedrich historic district? Whats the point of those balconies, you can’t fit a chair without blocking the door, even the Friedrich buldings on the block behind this has balconies that fit a bike. It’ll get that nice aged rust stain/cracked concrete look in no time. Sprinkle in some crappy graffiti, some cheap home depot mailboxes and a couple of beat up trash cans next to those meters to complete the look. Who cares about landscaping anyway.
