We just purchased a brownstone near the Utica Ave. stop and much to our surprise, the block was not what we expected. How can we encourage the police and the businesses that are there to do a better job of cleaning up and having more of a presence…It appears that more development is on the way….
Wow, the numbers detailing the increase in turnover between 1995 and the first half of 2004 are pretty mind-boggling. I knew the nabe was changing (we’ve been in Bed-Stuy for about 16 months and see new faces getting on and off of the A-train all of the time), but the magnitude of the transition in still surprising.
