About this Property
Tranquil Tribeca corner loft blends modern design with original 19th century architecture. Original timber beams and columns, brick walls, and twelve mahogany-framed windows beautifully frame the space, which is directly accessed via a key-locked elevator serving only three units. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms each contain translucent design elements that emphasize light and openness, yet still afford privacy. A central core containing the kitchen and bathrooms is wrapped in single-tree, grain-matched ash veneer. Designed by award-winning architects Desai/Chia to maximize light and space, this special loft of approximately 1,800 square feet was featured in an interior design book and in a New York Times article.

Oversized windows line Watts Street and Greenwich Street filling the 9.5 foot-ceilinged space with natural light and offering a partial river view. The large living/dining area and adjacent open kitchen make both entertaining and everyday living a breeze. The clean-lined kitchen features appliances, countertop, corrugated backsplash, and 12+ foot prep and dining island, all formed from stainless steel. At one end of the loft is the secluded master bedroom, entered via an acid-etched glass door. The en-suite master bathroom boasts a solid-surface sink, large shower with frameless enclosure, glass wall tiles, and basalt stone floors. At the opposite end of the loft are the other two bedrooms, each enclosed with custom PK-30 translucent sliding doors. The second bathroom offers a soaking tub, ceramic penny-round wall tiles, and basalt stone floors.

Other features include Jasper Morrison Glo-Ball lighting, York central air conditioning with Nest thermostat, Stiebel Eltron tankless hot water heater, Runtal hydronic radiators, and full-size LG washer and vented dryer.

Located in the Tribeca North Historic District, known for its low-rise Olde New York ambiance and charming cobblestone streets, the building was built in 1884 as a warehouse and was once the home of Romanoff Caviar Company. This intimate building is pet friendly and offers video intercom, storage units, bicycle room, a full-time superintendent, and low maintenance charges. The building will soon be home to a brand new landscaped roof deck. It is zoned for PS 234. The Tribeca location is convenient to the 1, A, C, and E subway lines, Soho, and Hudson River Park.
